About Rosalia

Hi, I'm Rosalia Rivera, I teach adult child sex abuse survivors, that are parents, HOW-TO confidently keep their kids safer w/ abuse prevention tools! I help parents learn how to educate their children on body safety, boundaries and consent so that they can empower their children to prevent abuse.

I'm a consent educator, abuse prevention expert, child rights advocate, 2x TEDx speaker, change agent, founder of CONSENTparenting™, host of the AboutCONSENT™ Podcast, creatrix of CONSENTwear™ and child sexual abuse survivor turned thriver.

By creating innovative, modern, and progressive tools, I provide parents the scripts, language, and resources that help them have confident conversations with their families!

Unlike safety education programs by non-survivors that can't relate to the struggle, fears, and triggers of survivor parents; I offer sensitive, empowering, and non-fear action & implementation-based how-to-courses with guided support.

Rosalia is certified in the Canadian Centre for Child Protection® COMMIT TO KIDS® Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Training Program and a Certified Facilitator of the Stewards Of Children® Training by Darkness to Light, as well as OnWatch™.

PROFESSIONAL BIO:

Rosalia is a consent educator and abuse prevention specialist, sexual literacy advocate, speaker and the founder of CONSENTparenting™, the host of the AboutCONSENT™ podcast and creator of CONSENTwear™. She is also a CSA (child sexual abuse) survivor, turned thriver.

As a CSA survivor and parent of three children, from a family of survivors, she discovered how triggering it was to learn about abuse prevention when it was time to educate her own kids once she became a mother. Determined to break the intergenerational cycle of abuse, Rosalia dedicated herself to her healing so she could overcome the anxiety and triggers that kept coming up when learning about abuse prevention so she could teach her kids.

Through the process, she learned that there were no programs speaking specifically to the survivor experience. This was preventing a large percentage of the parenting population from educating themselves and their kids, thereby increasing the perpetuation of the cycle. That is when she created and founded CONSENTparenting™ and launched her AboutCONSENT™ podcast, dedicated to survivors and those who support survivors to share interviews with experts in the field of mental wellness, trauma, and survivors/thrivers. She has helped thousands of parents through her various social media platform content and her evidence-based workshops and programs.

Rosalia is certified under Conscious Parenting Mastery with Dr. Shefali Tsabary, Ph. D., as well as the Canadian Centre for Child Protection® COMMIT TO KIDS® Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Training Program and the Stewards Of Children® Training by Darkness to Light, as well as OnWatch™ Certified.

Her Instagram has grown by over 90,000 engaged followers, with her other platforms quickly growing. She has a dedicated listenership on her podcast with well-respected guests looking to share their expertise with her audience.

In 2019, Rosalia was awarded a Hay House Diverse Wisdom Program scholarship to begin working on her upcoming book, a guide to abuse prevention for survivor parents.

She is currently working on a prevention book for parents and a children’s book series about secrets, both to be released in 2023.
