I believe you deserve to feel confident about keeping your kids safe.

The same way you buckle your child into their seatbelt without second-guessing it. You have the information. You have the action plan. That knowledge gives you confidence and peace of mind. That's what I want for you when it comes to protecting your children from sexual abuse.

Here's the truth most people don't want to talk about:

Child sexual abuse is prevalent. But, it's also PREVENTABLE!

And parents who aren't educated about prevention are at greater risk. Not because they don't love their children fiercely.

But because no one taught them what to look for or how to start these conversations.

I know this because I lived it.

On both sides.

My story started with panic.

My oldest son was four years old, about to attend summer day camp. I didn't know everyone at the daycare. I didn't know if the teen volunteers were safe. And I hadn't taught my child how to tell me if something went wrong or if someone made him uncomfortable.

I had so many fears. I felt powerless.

So I started researching abuse prevention. At first, I felt empowered. Finally, I had tools. Finally, I had language.

But then something unexpected happened.

The learning triggered me. Hard. Suppressed memories from my own childhood surfaced. Suddenly, I wasn't just a mom trying to protect her son. I was a survivor, finally acknowledging what had happened to me.

Teaching my kids body safety while managing my own anxiety? It was one of the hardest things I've ever done.

But here's what I discovered:

Healing takes time. It requires courage.

And that courage? It builds resilience.

I went from anxious, nervous, and panicked to calmer, more confident, and prepared.

Not overnight. Not perfectly. But steadily.

My oldest is now 14.

He understands consent. He knows how to use his voice. He feels safe telling me when something feels off.

And I have peace of mind knowing I've created a safer environment for him and my other two children.

I'm no longer just a survivor. I'm a thriver.

And I want the same for you.

Whether you're a survivor yourself or simply a parent who wants to be proactive, you're in the right place.
My approach is simple but powerful. I call it the 50/50 Framework:
  • 50% is teaching kids safety skills
  • 50% is teaching the adults around our kids about body safety and family rules

Because real protection happens when we create a safer community of adults around our children.
I help parents go from unprepared and anxious to informed and confident so they can dramatically reduce the risk of abuse.

A few things you should know about me:

I'm a mom of three. A wife, daughter, and sister. I was born in El Salvador and grew up in New York in a strict, Latino household with a whopping dose of misogyny and dysfunction.

Doing this work has helped heal the women around me and strengthened my family in ways I never imagined.

I'm a fierce advocate for child rights and survivor rights.

I'm not perfect. I've made mistakes raising my kids. But I've learned from each one, and I share those insights openly so you don't have to figure it all out alone.

I love this work. Even on the challenging days. Because seeing parents, caregivers, and children become empowered? That's the greatest gift that keeps on giving.

When I'm not working, you'll find me playing board games with my kids, hiking, taking photos (one of my early career loves), swimming, ice skating, or dancing.
